A Lesson From the Trail

John Bryant State Park

Description:

This park is one of my favorite parks in the whole state!  The terrain and geological features make it seam like a foreign place to Ohio.  This park is connected to Clifton Gorge Nature Preserve and all combined there are over 10 miles of trails here that follow the Little Miami River and the gorge that it is named for.  This is such a beautiful trail!  There are house sized boulders, rushing gorge chutes, cliffs that you can repel from or climb and it is all kept spotless.

This trail is also connected to the Glenn Helen Nature Preserve that makes for a total of over 18 miles round trip of trails.  Glenn Helen is just as beautiful as Clifton Gorge Preserve.  This park also has quiet clean camping.  The little town of Yellow Springs that is located near this park can't be missed either.  It is such a cool little hippie town with all kinds of shops and coffee houses, even an organic pizza joint!
