A Lesson From the Trail

Tar Hollow State Park

Description:

This state park has over 25 miles of trails that are set up in nice loops that all start at or near the fire tower.  There is a primitive camp at the fire tower for $6 a night.  There used to be a group camp on the south loop that backpackers could use but they closed it.  I suggest backing the trails anyway and making LNT "gorilla camps" with extreme emphasis on the LNT part.  I have never seen a ranger on any trail in Ohio.  The trails are very nice and they are also challenging and rugged.
